Irwin Services: Thurs., Nov. 17, 1:30 p.m. Services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Chapel, 3700 River Blvd, for Ruth E. Irwin, 98, who passed away November 10, 2005, in Bakersfield. Pastor Steven Wing will officiate. Mrs. Irwin was born on October 3, 1907, in Bakersfield. She worked as a legal secretary for Borton, Petrini and Conrad for 14 years. Mrs. Irwin liked to play golf, enjoyed painting, music, art, tennis and school sports. She also like to read her bible and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Irwin was preceded in death by her first husband, Clyde Manley, who she married in May 27, 1939; and husband, Glen Irwin, who she married March 21, 1973. She is survived by her son, Bill Manley and wife, Peggy of Portland, OR; grandson, Andrew Manley; nephew, Norman Howard; niece, Pat Rickert; two great nephews; two great nieces and six great-great nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Youth Camperships or Memorial Fund.
