She went to Bakersfield College, where she earned her AA degree, and planned to be a teacher, but was drawn to real estate, where she happily assisted in the buying and selling of homes in Bakersfield and Frasier Park for 30 years. She loved to hunt, fish, and camp in her 1977 van purchased from Three-Way Chevrolet, taking her family and traveling near and far to beaches and mountains for adventures that her family would never forget. She loved her cats and wide open spaces, sunrises and sunsets. And if you knew Ruth at all, we invite you to join us in a celebration of her life at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 17, 2006 at Greenlawn Cemetery on River Boulevard, in Bakersfield, California.
