Richard T. Maroney 
June 3, 1943 - October 6, 2005 

Visitation for Richard Maroney will be held at Greenlawn Mortuary, 3700 River 
Blvd. On Monday, Oct. 10, 2005 from 4:00 to 9:00p.m and grave side services 
will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005 at 1:00p.m. Rev. L.V. Lawson will 
officiate. Richard was born in Bakersfield, CA and grew up in Buttonwillow, 
CA. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lucy Maroney, two 
brothers and one sister, He is survived by his son Johnny Maroney of Chico; 
sister, Clara Spradlin; brother and sister-in-law John and Carol Maroney; 
three grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. 
Richard worked in the oilfields until becoming disabled then gave of himself 
being faithful to take care of his mother until her death. He was a sports 
fan, a great dancer, pool player and he loved to play the lottery. Richard had 
a heart of gold which was shown through his generosity, and kindness and 
family was of great importance to him. We will miss him and we rejoice in 
knowing that he is home with the Lord.
