Betty Jean Wood 
July 25, 1929 - October 18, 2005 

Visitation for Betty Jean Wood will be held at Basham Funeral Care (3312 Niles 
Street) on Thursday, October 20, 2005 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Graveside services 
will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park on Friday morning, October 21, 2005 at 
10:00 a.m. Betty was born July 25, 1929 in Bakersfield, California and she 
passed away October 18, 2005 with her family by her side. She is survived by 
her loving husband of 58 years, Lloyd Salty Wood; son, John Wood; son and 
daughter-in-law, Ron and Jane Wood; daughter, Brenda Hoyt; daughter and son-in-
law, Linda and Richard Daves; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Rob 
Christian; son, Lonnie Wood; son and daughter-in-law, Donny and Merri Wood; 16 
grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Pat Compagonia; sister, 
Margaret Bagnell; sister, Madelyn Sullivan; brother, Harold Clayton Marsh; 
numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A special thanks to 
Rick and Dee Sanchez. Betty was a good person and ALWAYS put others first. She 
was a good wife and a good mother to seven children. Betty was Mom to all of 
the kids on her neighborhood street. She was truly loved by all that knew her 
and she will be greatly missed. For additional service or floral delivery
