Robert Allen Martin

Feb. 4, 1929 — Nov. 2, 2005

Robert “Bob” Martin, 76, passed away on Nov. 2, 2005 in Tehachapi. He was born 
on Feb. 4, 1929, in Los Angeles. Bob was employed as a property manager for 34 
years. No matter what road you traveled in Sand Canyon or Quail Valley, Bob 
probably made it.

To those who were blessed enough to know Bob, he was our gentle giant. A 
pillar of strength in the community that he and his friends helped to build. 
The roads he built and the community he protected and served will leave behind 
a long-lasting thumb print of his life.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Tammi Martin, of Tehachapi; sons, Arthur 
Martin and his wife Carol, of Anderson; Phillip Martin of Washington state; 
Robert Martin, of San Luis Obispo; and Mitchell Martin and his wife Susie, of 
Carson City, Nev.; stepsons, Marty Perez and his wife Betty, of Tehachapi; 
James Garner and his wife Trinity; and Robert Garner, all of Lancaster; and 
grandchildren, Audie, Julie, Brittany, Bethany, Mitchell Jr., Michael, Amber, 
Nicole, Kyle, Emerald, Cole and Faith. Wood Family Funeral Service handled the 
cremation arrangements.
