Richard Cruz Martinez 
May 3, 1949 - November 18, 2005 

Visitation services will be held today, Tuesday, November 22, 2005, from 9:00 
a.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Mission Family Mortuary. Graveside services will be held 
Wednesday, November 23, 2005, 10:00 a.m., at Union Cemetery. He fought a 
courageous fight battling day to day just to spend one more day with his 
family. Dad went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 18, 2005, with 
all of his family by his side, just as Richard wanted. He is preceded in death 
by his first daughter, Martha; his parents, Amelia and Antonio Martinez; and 
his brother, Vincent. He is survived by his wife and daughter, Mary (Dolly) 
and K.K. Martinez. He is also survived by his sons, Rick and wife, Tamara, 
Jimmy and wife, Jennifer; daughter, Joy and their mother, Mary; brothers, Tony 
and wife, Rosie, Jesse and wife, Sophie, Joe and wife, Rose, Gilbert and wife, 
Diane; and his sister, Patty and her husband, Michael; 11 grandchildren and 
many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all who knew him. Pallbearers 
will be Jimmy Martinez, Rick Martinez, Gilbert Martinez, Christian Martinez, 
and Jesse Martinez Jr. Richard lived a fulfilling life, many of those years 
leading lost souls to Christ. Great things await him as he passes on to 
Heaven.
