Born March 23, 1917, in Brooklyn N.Y., she joined the Waves in World War II, where she met her husband Lyle. They lived in Southern California until they moved to Tehachapi in 1965 and lived here until 1986 when they moved to Arroyo Grande to be nearer their children. Lyle predeceased her in 1988. During her time in Tehachapi, she worked at CCI as an executive secretary before retiring in 1978. She enjoyed golf, bridge, crossword puzzles and could knit or sew just about anything. She is survived by daughter, Sue of Morro Bay; son, Ken and daughter-in-law Sharon and twin grandsons Austin and Jackson of Arroyo Grande. At her request no service is planned. Her memory can best be honored by remembering her quiet grace, easy laugh and ready smile.
