John A. McGee 
June 14, 1941 - October 18, 2005 

Graveside services for John A. McGee will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, 
October 20th, at St. Peter's Cemetery, 264 N. Blythe, in Fresno. John was born 
in Philadelphia and graduated from St. Josephs University before volunteering 
to serve his country in World War II. As a Navy Officer, he saw duty in the 
Pacific Theater, where his experiences ranged from coming under Kamikaze 
attack to being one of the early arrivals at Nagasaki at the war's end. 
Following the war, John married his beloved wife, Mary Elizabeth, and settled 
into a 30 plus year career as a Regional Analyst with the Internal Revenue 
Service. John lived in San Francisco, Fresno and most recently, Bakersfield. 
John was a loving and devoted husband, brother and uncle. He will be forever 
remembered by his sister Elizabeth McGee, his nephew David McGee and his 
friends and relatives.
