Archie Hoover McGough 
Nov. 24, 1929 - Dec. 11, 2005 

Archie Hoover McGough was born in Hemphill, Texas in 1929. He moved with his 
parents (Archie and Edna McGough) and siblings to Bakersfield in 1943. At the 
age of 17, Archie enlisted in the U.S. Navy and retired after 22 years of 
service as Chief Petty Officer. Upon retirement, he resided in San Diego with 
his wife, Emelia, until their move to Bakersfield in 1991. He leaves to mourn 
his passing, brothers, Rudolph McGough, Gene McGough and wife, Madeline; 
sister, June Houston-Clark and husband, Harry E. Clark; numerous nieces and 
nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Charles Thomas 
McGough. At the request of the deceased, no services will be held.
