Her sister introduced Louise to Bruce Edward Lake in Fresno, California and they formed a union together as Husband and Wife on June 19, 1938. That marriage produced four children: Jerry, Glenda, JoEllen and Edward Lynn. Louise worked hard all her life and in a cannery until Bruces employment relocated them to Bakersfield in 1944 and resided in Bakersfield the remainder of her life. She was extremely organized, was a fastidious homemaker and took pride in a job well done! She thoroughly enjoyed gardening and exercising her creativity through sewing, arts and crafts and home décor. She was a wonderful devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother and her deep love for children led her to her career in child care in her home. Later she cared for children at several community churches. Louise was the longest standing church member at the Bakersfield Central Seventh Day Adventist Church. Her priorities were always in order with God, family and friends, who enjoyed her loving spirit, and always placed others ahead of herself. She never met a stranger, loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor. In 1962, her determination and persistence allowed her to achieve her goal and obtain her high school diploma from Bakersfield Evening Adult School. During that time, she developed a genuine interest in local politics and followed it closely. After her high school education, she enrolled in a Child Psychology course. Louise is preceded in death by her mother, father, son (Edward Lynn), three brothers and four sisters and is survived by her son, Jerry Lake (Andrea); daughters, Glenda Fanselau (Roland) and JoEllen Minner (Bob); grandchildren, Deborah Fanselau, Malcolm Minner, Dean Fanselau, Michael Minner, Nicole Lake and Suzette ONeill; her only remaining sibling, sister, Sue Carpenter; sister-in-law, Violet McPherson, and several nieces and nephews.
