IN LOVING MEMORY 


A graveside service for Elsie Irene McVay will be held at Shafter Memorial 
Park on Monday, February 20, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. Reverend Danny McVay of the 
First Southern Baptist Church of Alpaugh, California will officiate. Mom was 
born July 4, 1926, in Atkins, Arkansas. She passed away at home on February 
16, 2006, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Elsie married JC McVay on 
March 13, 1942. They moved to California in 1952. Elsie was preceded in death 
by her parents; sister; daughter, Judi; granddaughter, Jennifer and grandson, 
Larry Russell. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, JC; sons, Larry 
(Susan), Jimmy (Karen); daughters, Linda (Joe), Kathy (Ron), Jeanette (Glen); 
grandchildren, Lori, Greg, Matthew, Shanna, Jason, John, Jay, Sara, Kristin 
and Glen; great-grandchildren, Justin, Jeremy, Jami, Jake, Adrianna, Marcus, 
Austin, Clara, Mikey, Bailee, Riley, Oliver, Callie, Anthony and Baby Ryder. 
Elsie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. We would like to express our 
gratitude and heartfelt thanks to Dr. Ho and all the nurses and care givers at 
Hoffman Hospice for the compassion and kindness that was given to our mother 
and our family. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Hoffman 
Hospice. Visitation will be held at Peters Funeral Home on Sunday, February 
19, 2006, from 2-8 p.m. Peters Funeral Home-Shafter
