Douglas Theodore Mealey 
May 9, 1957 - Dec. 17, 2005 

Doug was an incredible man who loved the Lord Jesus. Jesus met him at the 
gates of Heaven December 17, 2005. He was born May 9, 1957 in Dearborn, 
Michigan to Ted and Pat Mealey. The family moved to California in 1959. He was 
raised in Bakersfield and graduated from North High in 1975. It was during 
that time that he met his best friend and soul mate, Cindy. They married in 
1977. They were blessed with 2 exceptional children, Mylissa and Jeff. Doug 
worked for Chevron for 25 years. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, 
brother, uncle and friend to many! He was preceded in death by his father, 
Ted. Doug left to cherish his memory his wife of 28 years, Cindy; his 
children, Mylissa and David Dennis and Jeff Mealey; his mother, Pat Mealey; 
his sister and her husband, Vicki and Robert Parsons and his nephews and 
nieces, Kevin and Juliann Parsons, Kyle and Jennifer Parsons, Keith Parsons 
and many extended family members and friends who love and will miss him. Doug 
touched many people throughout his life. No one who met him didnt immediately 
respond to his gentle and friendly manner. He will be dearly missed by all. A 
memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Wednesday, December 21st, 
11:30 a.m., at Valley Baptist Church on Fruitvale Ave. Donations may be sent 
to Valley Baptist Church, Media Ministry, 4800 Fruitvale Ave., Bakersfield, CA 
93308.
