James Edward Mello (Jim) 
Jan. 2, 1949 - Dec. 15, 2005 

Private services were held for James Edward Jim Mello, 56, of Bakersfield, who 
passed away December 15, 2005 in a Bakersfield hospital. Jim was born January 
2, 1949 in California and had been a resident of Kern County for six years. He 
was an avid Dodger fan, and loved to play Black Jack and was known to drop a 
few quarters in Laughlin, Nevada sometimes. He is survived by his sons, Brian 
and Eric Mello of Massachusetts; daughter and son-in-law, Krystal and Ken 
Divoll, sisters and brothers-in-law, Gerry and David Canby and Diane and Larry 
Yamaguchi; mother of his children, Joni Mello; best friend, Jim Reynolds and 
many other loving relatives and friends. Dads sense of humor was always a 
great source of laughter and enjoyment for his family. He was a great dad, 
brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
