Norma Jean Downing 
Services: Mon., Sept. 12, 11 a.m. 

Memorial services will be held Monday, September 12, 2005, at 11:00 a.m., at 
the Monica Ward Building of the LDS Church, 821 Monica St. Bakersfield, CA 
93306. Norma Jean Downing was born May 16, 1931, in Hamtramic, Michigan and 
passed away September 5, 2005, in Bakersfield. She had been a member of the 
LDS Church for 37 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Max and 
Florence Meyers and son, Robert. She is survived by her husband, Donn; son, 
Dennis; daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Curtis Frieber; son, Kenneth; son 
and daughter-in-law, Richard and Valerie; son and daughter-in-law, James and 
Susan; and daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Tom Hale. Her grandchildren were 
very special to her and are Desiree, Dean, Carrie, Jennifer, Michael, Josh, 
Chris, Brandi, Shalonna, Todd, Jennifer, Kayla, Tawny, Sarah and Kevin. She 
also had 23 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to 
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 821 Monica St., Bakersfield, 
CA 93306.
