This was the case with Arvil and Allie. Allie passed away on Sept. 24 and her funeral service was held Monday, Oct. 3. Arvil attended the service, said his goodbyes and had the joy of visiting with relatives and friends he had not seen in years. The next morning, Tuesday, Oct. 4, he went to join his beloved Allie. They are now holding hands in heaven. Arvil’s service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 2 p.m. at the Tehachapi Public Cemetery, Westside. Allie was born on Oct. 7, 1913, in Pine Hill, Tenn. to Esco and Nora Moore. For many years he was a farmer in the Newhall area before moving on to the Wheeler Ridge area. He retired from the Saugus Water Company in 1968. He and Allie moved to Tehachapi seven years ago to be close to family. They are survived by sons, Russell Moore and his wife Shirley of Tehachapi; and Glenn Moore and his wife Ada of Canyon Country; daughter, Kathleen Todd of Georgetown, Texas; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. Arvil, being the oldest of 10 siblings, is survived by sisters, Dalpho Brazil, Mona Brown and Evelyn Human. Son Russell Moore and grandson Terry Moore officiated at Allie’s service and will do the same for Arvil’s. Wood Family Funeral Service handled the arrangements.
