Ruth Palmisano Morales 
June 4, 1929 - Jan. 4, 2006 

Ruth was born the second daughter to Salvador Palmisano and Hazel Habecker in 
New Orleans. Ruth earned her Bachelors from LSU. At Indiana University she 
completed her Masters and met her ex-husband, Hilbert Morales. They had their 
1st daughter, Linda in 1957. They settled in Palo Alto near Stanford where 
they had two more children, Tony in 1961 and Mary in 1965. Ruth enjoyed being 
an active mom, her book-reading group and playing tennis. Ruth settled in San 
Francisco after finishing her Masters at SF State in 1987. She enjoyed her 
work with GLOE. Ruth maintained many friendships through her activism. In 1998 
Ruth experienced her first seizure. She moved to Bakersfield in 2001. She is 
survived by her three children; her two sons-in-laws, Jeff Russinsky and 
Lawrence Rustia; her four grandchildren, Robert and Gabriella Rustia, Sage 
Ruth and Laura Russinsky and her many friends. For additional information,
