Paulette Moreland 
Mar. 4, 1947 - Sept. 10, 2005 

Graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2005, at 
10:00 a.m., at Wasco Memorial Park for Paulette Moreland, age 58, of 
Bakersfield, CA, who passed away September 10, 2005, in Bakersfield. Pastor 
Larry Wood from Valley Baptist Church will officiate and interment will 
follow. Paulette Moreland was born March 4, 1947, in Fresno, CA, the daughter 
of Paul and Ava Moreland. After high school graduation, she attended Fresno 
State University. She came to Wasco in 1975. She worked in the Justice Court 
system for 20 years. She started her clerking career in the Delano Court and 
retired as Chief Deputy Clerk for Shafter-Wasco Justice Court. She enjoyed 
crocheting baby blankets and afghans and giving them as gifts to her family. 
She also enjoyed reading books, going to movies, and collecting ceramic 
figurines. She attended Wasco First Southern Baptist Church when she lived in 
Wasco. Pauline is survived by her son, Christopher Pempleton and wife, 
Kaytasha of Bakersfield; father, Paul Moreland and wife, Lois of Bakersfield; 
brother, Michael Moreland of Oklahoma; sisters, Pamela Joy Harrison of Florida 
and Cheryl Johnson of Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ava 
Moreland; son, Luther C. Pempleton; and brother, Paul Moreland Jr.
