The funeral mass will be held at St. Philip the Apostle Church on Saturday December 3rd, at 9:00 a.m. Anthony "Jon-Jon" Moreno was born on May 6, 1977 in Fort Carson, Colorado Springs while his father, Antonio "Tony" Moreno was serving in the U.S. Army Special Forces. He went home to the Lord on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 2005 at 10:05 a.m. He is survived by his parents, Tony and Leticia, older brother, Michael Moreno, grandparents, Dionicia Francisco, Celestino and Nimfa Moreno, Dominic and Frances Moreno, and his aunt Rosie and Rudy Carino. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jon attended St. Frances Elementary School and Bakersfield High School where he graduated in June of 1995. Jon was very active and played football for the school. He attended ITT Technical Institute in Oxnard, CA where he graduated with honors. He loved to barbecue, socialize, and entertain. Jon's sense of humor is one to be remembered. His rosy cheeks and laugh would make him stand out in the crowd. He was known for his poker skills and would often be found playing with friends. He is described as being technologically skilled, one who could help anyone with any computer problem. Jon also enjoyed his job very much at Bakersfield Cash Register, where the owner described him as an irreplaceable and efficient employee. Jon had a great group of friends and family who loved him very much. He was kind, affectionate, and generous person who always thought of others before himself. He will be greatly missed. The Moreno family would like to thank Kern Medical Center ICU Staff for their kindness and support. A special thanks to all the friends who maintained vigil at the hospital. Special thanks to all the relatives who displayed their unity in the hour of need.
