Miguel Diaz Moreno 
March 27, 1926 - September 20, 2005 

Visitation for Miguel Diaz Moreno will be held at Basham Funeral Care (3312 
Niles Street) on Sunday, September 25, 2005 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Funeral 
services will be held in the Basham Funeral Care Chapel on Monday morning, 
September 26, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Southwest 
Cemetery. Miguel was born March 27, 1926 in Del Carbon, Colorado and he passed 
away September 20, 2005 in Bakersfield, California. Miguel is preceded in 
death by his parents, Miguel and Eulalia Diaz Sr. and sister, Sara Diaz. He is 
survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Maria Diaz; son and daughter-in-law, 
Michael and Rosie Diaz; son and daughter-in-law, Roberto and Esther Redondo; 
eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, 
Gabriel and Maria Diaz; sisters-in-law, Magdalena Alanis Valles, Francisca 
Alanis Valles, Consuelo Alanis Valles and Teresa Alanis Valles as well as 
numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Miguel was a member of 
Jesus de Nazareth in Durango, Durango, Mexico with his wife Maria working as 
Directors of Marriage Institute. He was a member of Iglesia Metodista de 
Mexico and III Encuentro Nacional de Hombres Metodistas. Miguel and his wife 
Maria came to Bakersfield in December of 2003 to be with their son, Michael. 
He was loved by many nieces and nephews both in California and Mexico, even 
friends called him Tio. He will be greatly missed. Pallbearers will be Michael 
A. Diaz IV, Brandon Montes, Juan Alanis, Jay G. Diaz, Jose Munoz and Bobby
