"Jim" Mack Services: Tues., Apr. 12, 10:30 a.m. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2005, at 10:30 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church, 9501 Ramos, for James F. "Jim" Mack, 83, who passed away April 10, 2005, in a local Hospital. Father Dan Coyle will officiate and interment will follow at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park, 2739 Panama Lane. Jim was born January 8, 1922 in Pennsylvania and resided in Kern County for 14 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during WWII. Jim was known as Mr. Decco because he loved to play the lottery. He never met a stranger and was passionate about sports especially Notre Dame and minor league baseball. Jim was very proud of his children and their accomplishments in life. He spent 59 wonderful years with his wife, Wilma. They traveled a lot and had many wonderful and good times together. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church. Jim will always be loved and missed. He is survived by his wife, Wilma; son, James F. Mack Jr. of San Diego; daughters and son-in-law, Jean Parker and Bobbie and Ted Smith all of Bakersfield; granddaughter, Tedra Smith; grandsons, Jeramie and Steven Smith all of Bakersfield; brother, William Mack of North Carolina; sisters, Helen Gray of North Carolina and Patricia Cook of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be James Mack Jr., Ted Smith, Jeramie Smith and Craig Coulter. No visitation is scheduled.
