He and Carol, his wife of 57 years, had recently moved there from Bakersfield to be near family. Doug will be remembered for his humor, boundless energy, and his love of family and friends. His career with Chevron Oil Co. carried him and his family all over the western U.S. and the world. Twenty years ago he landed in Bakersfield where handball, golf, and country music helped him feel right at home. He is survived by his wife, Carol; his children, Liz (Steve) Spear, Doug (Teresa) MacLean, and Joanne (Alan) Cable; his 6 grandchildren and his extended family of siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews.
