George Edward Manning 
7/10/1930 - 6/22/2005 

A Rosary and viewing will be held on Monday, June 27th, at 5:00 p.m., with the 
Rosary at 6:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 28th, at 
10:00 a.m. Both services are to be held at St. Francis Church, located at 900 
H Street, Bakersfield, CA. The interment will be immediately following the 
Mass at Greenlawn Cemetery on River Blvd., for George Edward Manning, 74, who 
passed away June 22, 2005. Preceding him in death, his wife of 53 years, 
Alice; mother, Laura Belle Jameson; father, Furman Manning; stepfather, Berne 
Jameson; sisters, Dixie Busby and Melba Mullen. George is survived by his son, 
Ted Manning and wife, Susan; daughter, Erin Schutte and husband, John; 
brother, Robert Manning; grandsons, Nicholas Manning E4, U.S. Navy, Chad 
Manning, Michael Manning; granddaughters, Erika McKamie and Kaitlyn Manning; 
great-grandchildren, Victoria May, Brenden May and Garett McKamie; and sister-
in-law, Elsie Metzler and husband, Tom. George is also survived by many nieces 
and nephews. A special thank you to Sonia and Scott McClure and their 
children, Michael, Sean and Ryan for their kindness and support, especially 
for just being there during the last year.
