Willie Thomas Martin 
8/17/1942 - 6/25/2005 

A graveside service will be conducted by Peters Funeral Home for Tommy Martin, 
age 62, on Wednesday, June 29th, 10 a.m., at Shafter Memorial Park. Reverend 
Boyd Shepherd of Church of God in Smiths Corner, Shafter will officiate. Tommy 
came to Shafter in 1943, and he served in the U.S. Navy from 1960 - 1966; 
marrying Yoko Tonoike on Jan. 31, 1963 in Tokyo, Japan. He worked in 
construction for many years. Tommy was the greatest husband, dad, and grandpa 
in the world, and our lives will never be the same without him. He had a great 
big heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed spending 
time in the mountains at his cabin fishing, and rattlesnake hunting. He 
dedicated his whole life to his family, especially his grandkids. Those who 
knew him loved him. He was a very caring and generous man. Tommy is survived 
by his loving wife, Yoko; son, Danny and wife, Madeline; daughter, Shelly; 
grandchildren, Steven, Matthew, Anthony, Megan, Michael, Jeremy, JonPaul 
BooBoo; brother, Ray Martin. Visitation begins today, June 28th, 2-8 p.m.
