Harold Wane Martin
Services: Wed., Aug. 3, 10:00 a.m. 

Family and friends have suffered a great loss. Harold Wane Martin, born 
February 18, 1946 passed away in Taft on July 29, 2005. He was a Kern County 
resident for 50+ years. Born in Tulare County, attended Buttonwillow 
Elementary and Shafter High School. He served in the U.S. Army. Harold had 
numerous businesses from farming to construction all around the United States 
where he also made lifelong friends. Harold was proud of his heritage and 
roots which gave him the drive to be successful in business and family. Hot 
Rods, dancing and traveling with his friends were his passion, so was Saturday 
morning breakfast with his family. He is survived by his children, Jami 
(John), Jennifer (Dustin), Anthony; grandson, Chaz and companion, Linda 
Underwood; sisters, Kathleen, Wanda, Gladys and brother, Ray; mother and 
father-in-law, Wynell and Floyd Johnson and a whole bunch of nieces and 
nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn; parents, Jewel and Ila 
Martin. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 2, 2005, 4-8 p.m., at West Side 
Family Funeral Home, Taft. Services will be graveside Wednesday, August 3rd, 
10:00 a.m., at West Side District Cemetery, Taft. Reception following at the 
Taft Church of Christ, 305 S. 10th.
