Augustine Jaquez Martinez, Jr.
April 18, 1926 - May 14, 2005 

Visitation for Augustine Jaquez Martinez, Jr. will be held at Basham Funeral 
Care (3312 Niles Street) on Wednesday, May 18, 2005 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. 
Graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Southwest Cemetery on Thursday 
morning, May 19, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Ken Armstrong will officiate.

Augustine is survived by his loving wife, Aleja Martinez; son and daughter-in-
law, Augustine and Marian Martinez; daughter and son-in-law, Yolanda and 
Arthur Chairez; daughter, Peggy Martinez; granddaughter, Priscilla Leal; 
grandson, Daniel Leal; great grandchildren, Johnny, Michael, Tino and Sabrina 
as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Augustine served our Country in the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII. In July 
of 1945 he married Aleja Luera and together they had three children. He came 
to faith in Christ in 1975. He became a faithful member of Calvary Chapel-
Downey. He loved doing volunteer work at his church and he served there for 
many years. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will 
be sorely missed. For additional service or floral delivery information,
