She was the best Mom in the world. Completely devoted to her daughters and husband. Tammy was just as comfortable taking care of her roses one minute and the next building something with a power saw. She loved her home, but her priorities were family and friends. This year would have been unbearable, was it not for many, many people that surrounded our family in love. Our thanks goes out to the Investigating Officers at the crash site; Mr. and Mrs. Claude Rogers; Hugh and Carla Pearson; The kindness shown by the Mish Funeral Home and staff; Ken Chapman and the entire Beardsley School District family for the College fund account set up for the girls, the food cooked for Greg and the Girls right up to the 1st of the year; days needed off work (we were in court 8 months, trying to keep the drunk driver in jail). Thank you to everyone for providing housekeepers, tutors, and just a shoulder when needed. Our Pastors, Rev. Roger Spradling and Rev. Phil Neighbors from Valley Baptist Church came immediately to us with love and compassion. Our neighbors and friends. You all have helped make the last year a little more bearable. Nothing is sweeter than a life well lived and Tammy lived hers well indeed. Her memory lives on in her twin daughters, Hallee and Allee and husband, Greg, as well as her extended family and friends. Now she rests in the arms of our Lord. We are thankful for what she has given us by her simple presence among us. We loved her and she knew it. She loved us, and we knew it. We Love you and miss you, Mommy Hallee and Allee and husband, Greg Legacy.com Published in the Bakersfield Californian on 8/21/2005.
