Mr. McNamara was born in Merced on July 1, 1937 and passed away in Taft on April 17, 2005. He spent his early childhood in Yosemite Valley and later in Ceres, where he graduated from high school in 1956. Mr. McNamara served his country in the Air Force and in the mid 1960s moved to Taft. He worked in the oilfields for 35 years and he loved fishing, music and traveling. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mr. McNamara was preceded in death by his parents, William and Eileen McNamara. His survivors include his wife, Donna McNamara of Taft; his stepson, Dean Watts and Carol Ann of Taft; his sister, Diane and her husband, Ron Firestine of Chatsworth; his grandchildren, Jason Miller, Shelby Watts, and Zoey Watts; his nephews, Craig and Cameron Firestine; his niece, Cindy Firestine; his numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and by his many friends.
