Roy L. Meadows
Sept. 3, 1928 Mar. 12, 2005

Roy Lanier Meadows, 76, of North Edwards, was born September 3, 1928, in 
Earlhurst, VA and passed away on March 12, 2005, in Bakersfield, CA. Preceding 
him in death were first wife of 35 years, Ann I. Meadows, son, John, his 
parents and three siblings. 

Roy is survived by his wife of 15 years, Alice Lorraine Meadows, son and 
daughter-in-law, Robert and Vicki Meadows; son, James Meadows; daughter-in-
law, Ruth Meadows; former daughter- in-law Terri Parnell; grandchildren, 
Jennifer, Christopher, Allison, Jonathan, and Geoffrey Meadows, stepson, Frank 
Fabianich, stepdaughter, Linda Sadler; five siblings, and many nieces and 
nephews. 

Special thanks to the wonderful folks at Hearthstone and The Samaritans for 
their loving care following Roys brain surgery in 2002. While he no longer 
knew us, he knew we all loved him and he was in a safe and happy place. 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 18, at Stickel Mortuary in 
Mojave, CA, with burial following at the Mojave Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, 
donations may be made to the Alzheimers Disease Association of Kern County.
