Linda Jacobson
January 15, 1945 - April 1, 2005

Linda was born in Seminole, Texas, to Henry and Wanda Meeks. She joined her 
family in Bakersfield 30 years ago. Religion was very meaningful to Linda, she 
was most recently a member of Coronado Baptist Church. 

Linda was a kind and compassionate person, always helping those less fortunate 
than herself. She was a one-woman sanctuary taking in as many stray animals as 
she was able to care for. Linda was known for her kind gentle personality and 
her great sense of humor. The light and love of Lindas life was her 
granddaughter, Mikayla.

She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Meeks and brother, Steve Meeks. 
She is survived by her daughter, Wendy Jacobson; her beloved granddaughter, 
Mikayla; her remarkable mother, Wanda Meeks; brother, Billy Meeks; sisters, 
Mona Carter and Cindy Meeks; sister-in-law, Karen McCabe and brother-in-law, 
Danny Wilson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

It was Lindas request that we send a special thanks to her loving and dedicated 
niece, Kim Crabtree whom stood by her in her time of need. The family would 
like to thank Dr. Alim Ashraf for his special care and kindness.

Oh how we will miss her.
