Justo Davila Mendoza (Gus) 
May 28, 1938 - June 11, 2005 

Visitation for Justo Davila Mendoza Gus will be held at Basham Funeral Care 
(3312 Niles St.) on Friday, June 17, 2005 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. and at Our Lady 
of Guadalupe Catholic Church from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. and the Rosary will be 
recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of 
Guadalupe Catholic Church on Saturday morning, June 17, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. 
Interment will follow at Union Cemetery. Justo Davila Mendoza was born May 28, 
1938 in Austin, Texas to Aurelio and Amelia Mendoza and he passed away 
peacefully in his home in Bakersfield, California on June 11, 2005. He is 
survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Rosie Mendoza; son and daughter-in-
law, Manuel and Kristie Mendoza; son and daughter-in-law, Miguel and Stephanie 
Mendoza; granddaughter, Erin Mendoza and countless of other family members and 
friends. Prior to retiring in 2001, Justo worked as a truck driving 
instructor. He had a passion for golf, making bird houses out of scrapwood and 
watching hummingbirds feeding outside his living room window with his wife 
Rosie. Justo was never one to turn away when there was someone in need; he 
would give the shirt off his back. Our husband, father, grandfather and friend 
will be sorely missed. For additional service or floral delivery information,
