"Babe" Miller Services: Fri., Mar. 18, 11:30 a.m. Viewing will begin, Thursday, March 17, 2005, 3:30 p.m. at Greenlawn Mortuary, 3700 River Blvd. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, March 18th, at 11:30 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 1800 Bedford Way, for Don F. Miller who passed away March 14, 2005, in Bakersfield, CA. Msgr. Stephen Frost will officiate. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mr. Miller was born May 13, 1923, in Omaha, Nebraska and resided in Kern County for 64 years. He was a carpenter by trade and a member of the Carpenters Union Local #743. He served in WWII as Staff Sergeant in the 349th Air Service Group on the Island of Iwo Jima. He received the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Mr. Miller is survived by his loving daughters and sons-in-law, Dawn and Brian Antak, Laura and Vince Carbone; loving and adored grandson, Brian Pimienta and cherished granddaughter, Chastity Davis; much loved sister-in-law, Ella Mae Miller; adored nieces and nephews, Anna Mae Briscoe, Randy Briscoe, Jeremy Briscoe and Summer Ellis. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joan Miller, father, James Miller, mother, Anna B. Miller and brother, James Joseph Miller.
