Funeral service will be held Friday, July 15, 2005, at 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 124 Columbus. St. Feliciano 'Felix' Morales (56) of Bakersfield, CA passed away Saturday, July 9th while on a Harley ride with close friends. Felix was born in San Antonio, Texas, in 1948 and moved to Bakersfield at the age of thirteen. A graduate of Bakersfield High School, Felix earned an Associates Degree from Bakersfield College and served in the Army Reserve. Felix spent his career in law enforcement beginning as an officer with the California Department of Corrections. In 1977, he joined the Bakersfield Police Department where he served for twenty-one years. For the past five years, Felix worked for Kern County as an Investigative Assistant for the District Attorneys Office. Raised in a large family, Felix took pride in his own expanding family. Felix brought two children from his precious marriage into his marriage with the love of his life, Pamela, and he welcomed a stepdaughter. Felix and Pamela loved trips to Lake Tahoe and Las Vegas where he loved the ching ching of a slot machine, but his ultimate joy was bonding with his six beautiful grandchildren. He loved to rough house with them, and to them, he was the best pony ride around. At fifty- six, he was happy, healthy, respected and loved. His family is suffering a great loss. Felix is survived by his parents, Manuel and Juanita Morales; his loving wife, Pamela Morales; son, Richard and Shannon Morales; daughter, Michelle and Raul Black; daughter, Rachelle and Chad Thorp and his six grandchildren, Connor, Mason and Myia Morales, Audrey Rose Black and Hunter and Holland Thorp. Felix is also survived by his eleven siblings, Juan and Suzanne Morales, Linda Bozeman and Eddie Estrada, Rachel Salazar, Rudy Morales, Teri Jordan, Olga and David Slater, Lupe and Richard Yubeta, Angie and Robert Marquez, Margie and Mike Stephens, Jesse and Sylvia Morales and Alice Morales as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Felix Morales name to The Police Memorial Run Scholarship Fund, c/o Bakersfield Police Benefit Association, P.O.
