Verla H. Shockley
1916 - 2005

Verla was born on August 25, 1916, in Seiling, Oklahoma, to Albert and Hettie 
Morris, the second youngest of 11 children. She passed away on March 23, 2005, 
at the age of 88. 

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Leon Brummett and Don Shockley, and 
her daughter, Darla Farmer. Survivors include her son, Glen Brummett of 
Brewster, Washington; sister and brother-in-law, Hazel and Odis Hughes of 
Bakersfield; brother, Hollie Morris of Bakersfield; an extended family and 
many special friends. She will forever be in our hearts.

We want to give a special thanks to Optimal Hospice, especially Selena Sherman 
for all of their excellent care.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at 1:00 p.m., at 
Hillcrest Memorial Chapel.
