Paul was born Oct. 9, 1932, in St. Louis, Mo. to Elmer and Sylvia Mueller. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War and graduated in 1957 from Washington University in St. Louis with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. Paul was an active member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Thousand Oaks for 34 years, where he was the congregational president from 1989 to 1990. He was a member of Rotary International. After retirement from Rocketdyne in Canoga Park, he enjoyed a varied career which included founding Town & Country Travel in Thousand Oaks. Paul was a member of the Stallion Springs Community Services District board and the Tehachapi Area Association of Realtors. Paul is survived by his wife of 48 years, Susan; three children and spouses, Sandy and Vic Thompson of Round Hill, Va., Tom and Ilona Mueller and Bill and Tomoko Mueller, all of Thousand Oaks; nine grandchildren; and a sister, Eileen Winter of Chester, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson. A memorial service was held Saturday, Sept. 3, at Stallion Springs Community Church in Tehachapi. Wood Family Funeral Service handled the cremation arrangements.
