Services: Thurs., Oct. 13, 10 a.m. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Christ the King Church, 1800 Bedford 
Way, for Mary Helen Kersey Neal, 77, who passed away October 10, 2005, in 
Bakersfield, CA. Msgr. Stephen Frost will officiate. Interment is private Mary 
Helen Kersey Neal was born on January 5, 1928, in Fairview, Oklahoma and moved 
with her family to California when she was six years old. She retired from the 
Kern County Housing Authority in 1996. She enjoyed traveling, crafts, playing 
cards and spending time with her family, friends and dog, Marty. In the last 
few years she spent many weekends at the beach in Cambria with family. Mary 
was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 1984. She is survived by her 
son, Michael A. and wife, Judy; daughters, Robin L. Bice and husband, Jon and 
Rona L. Angelo and husband, Leonard; nine grandchildren; six great 
grandchildren with one more to arrive in March; brother, Jim Kersey and two 
nieces; two step- grandchildren; 9 step-great-grandchildren and one step-great-
great-grandchild. Casketbearers will be Mickey Neal, Jon Bice, Steve 
Whitestone, Michael Hughes, Christopher Angelo and Jeff Bice. Honorary 
Casketbearer will John Ryan. In lieu of flowers send a donation to the 
American Diabetes Association or charity of your choice. Visitation will be 
today, 3:00 - 9:00 p. m.
