Lida Mae Nickell-Sadler 
Services: Thurs., Nov. 10, 1:30 p.m. 

Graveside services will be held Thursday, November 10th, at Tulare District 
Cemetery, 900 E. Kern, Tulare, CA for Lida Mae Nickell-Sadler, 93, who passed 
away November 3, 2005. Lida and her first husband, Rex Nickell, came to 
California in 1943, settling in McFarland and later moving to Delano. In 1950 
they purchased some land and started farming. Rex passed away on October 23, 
1973. Lida moved to Visalia in 1998 and then to Bakersfield in 2004. A 
homemaker for 62 years, her hobbies were gardening and working with ceramics. 
Lida was also preceded in death by her second husband, Austin Sadler, in April 
of 2000 and two sons, Darrell Alton Nickell and Wendell L. Nickell; 3 sisters 
and 3 brothers. Survivors are her son, Ronald Nickell and his wife, Jarvis of 
Bakersfield; daughter-in-law, Marcia Nickell of Madera, CA; 5 grandchildren 
and 11 great-grandchildren.
