Mildred Ruth Nyquist Parker 
Services: Mon., Nov. 14, 11:00 a.m. 

Mildred Ruth Nyquist Parker was born April 11, 1921 to Carl and Ruth Nyquist 
in Draper, South Dakota. She passed away in Bakersfield, CA, November 7, 2005. 
She attended elementary school in a one room school house north of Draper, 
South Dakota and attended Murdo High School. Upon graduation she attended 
business college in Rapid City, SD. On December 18, 1949, she was united in 
marriage to George Clarkson Parker and they changed their residence to Yorba 
Linda, CA. In January 1952, she moved with her husband to Buttonwillow, CA and 
remained there until 1961 when they moved to Bakersfield where she has lived 
ever since. She devoted her life to her home, husband and his work, and was a 
40-year veteran of Bible Study. She was active in church affairs wherever she 
lived and was a member of the Grace Reform Church in Bakersfield. She is 
survived by her husband; 5 nephews, Robert, Randell, Raymond, Russell and 
Howard Parker; one niece, Lauralyn Underwood; 10 grand-nieces and nephews, 3 
great-grand-nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Monday, 
November 14, 2005, 11:00 a.m., at Greenlawn Chapel, 3700 River Blvd., 
Bakersfield, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Building 
Fund, Grace Reform Church, 420 Columbus Street, Bakersfield, CA 93305.
