Lillie May McKee

Services: Wed., Sept. 28, 10:30 a.m. 

Graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 28, at 10:30 a.m., at 
Arvin Cemetery. Lillie May McKee was born on April 26, 1914 to John and Laura 
Olinger in Madison County, Arkansas. She married her husband of 34 years, 
Cecil McKee on June 4, 1932 in Wagoner County, Oklahoma. She moved her family 
to Sunset Camp in the 40s and later moved to Arvin where she worked and lived 
on Jewett Ranch as a farm laborer. She later moved to Bakersfield in the 70s 
after the death of her husband. She is preceded in death by her husband, 
Cecil; her sons, Louie Dee, Eual Alfred and James Doyle; grandsons, Patrick 
McKee and Joshua Arnold; and brothers, Frank Orvil, Doyle and Ray. She is 
survived by a sister, Zelma Taylor of Bakersfield; sons, Bill and Marie McKee, 
and Doug and Connie McKee, both of Oklahoma; daughters, Bernice and Richard 
Arnold; and Elaine and Richard Powers, both of Bakersfield. She is also 
survived by 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grand-
children. Joel Sanchez, Chad Powers, Bryant Arnold, Larry Powers, Travis 
Powers, Dustin Seals, Russell Seals, and Ricky Arnold and will be honored with 
the duties of being Lillie Mays Pallbearers. Visitation will be held Tuesday 
from 4-8, at Mish Funeral Home, 120 Minner, in Oildale.
