All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ca/cafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: K T bluewolf@onemain.com November 15, 2005, 10:53 pm The Bakersfield Californian Ornelas, Isaac Villalobos 1930 - 2005 Isaac Villalobos Ornelas June 3, 1930 - November 11, 2005 Visitation for Isaac Villalobos Ornelas will be held at Basham Funeral Care (3312 Niles Street) on Wednesday, November 16, 2005 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. and at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church from 6:00-8:30 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. A second visitation will be held at Basham Funeral Care on Thursday, November 17, 2005 from 9:00-12:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Thursday afternoon, November 17, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery. Isaac was born June 3, 1930 in Colorado, Texas, one of seventeen siblings, to Jose and Marta Ornelas and he passed away November 11, 2005 in Bakersfield, California. Isaac is preceded in death by five infant brothers and sisters; son, Michael Ornelas; brothers, Bidal, Joe and Fred. Also by his cherished Sugar his pet and companion of 10 years who passed away 3 weeks ago. He leaves behind his son and daughter-in-law, Isaac and Adele Ornelas Jr.; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Ria Ornelas; son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Arlene Ornelas; daughter, Annette Ornelas; 15 grandchildren; brothers, Manuel and Lupe; sisters and brothers-in-law, Emma and Tony Garcia, Pemma and Joe Garcia, Eva and Jorge Silva; sisters, Carmen Duran, Inez Carrizales and Angie Frank as well as numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Isaac was raised in Buttonwillow and he attended local elementary schools and he worked in the fields until he was drafted into the Army. Isaac was full of life. He loved attending family gatherings, reunions, festivities and camping. He gave many a helping hand to those in need and he dedicated his life to his family and his fellow Veterans. His friends were all special friends. He owned a cleaning business in La Puente, California for four years, was a president coach and sponsor for little league baseball there for 13 years. After retiring, he returned to Bakersfield and became a notary public and income tax consultant for 10 years. He was a member of the Cessna Sargeant Chapter in Bakersfield, the American Ex POW's, VFW Post #97 in Bakersfield and the American Legion Post #674 in Buttonwillow. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart, Bronze Star and Silver Star. Isaac served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War where he became a prisoner of war. He was loved by all that knew him and he will be greatly missed. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Mercy Hospital Emergency Room, Intensive Care Unit and 2nd Floor staff.
