Luis Alberto Ortiz 
May 11, 1981 - August 31, 2005 

Visitation will be held Sunday, September 4, 2005 and Monday, September 5, 
2005 from 2-8 p.m., with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary on Monday, September 
5, 2005, 6 p.m., at Hopson-Anspach Family Mortuary Chapel in Lamont. Mass of 
Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2005, at 10:00 a.m., at 
St. Augustine Catholic Church in Lamont. Father John Schmoll will officiate 
services and interment will follow at South Kern Cemetery District in Arvin 
for Luis Alberto Ortiz, age 24 of Lamont, California, who passed away August 
31, 2005. Luis was born in Bakersfield, California on May 11, 1981 to Jaime 
and Yolanda Ortiz. Luis attended Arvin High School and participated in ROTC 
program. He enjoyed working on cars and considered being a U.S. Marine. He 
enjoyed Mexican music. He is survived by his parents, Jaime and Yolanda Ortiz; 
brother, Jaime Ortiz; sister, Maria Ortiz; grandparents, Ruben Ortiz and 
Esperanza Alanzo, Jesus Florez and Guadalupe Villanueva.
