Tony was born May 10, 1925 in Billings, Montana and he passed away March 20, 2006 in Bakersfield, California with his family by his side. Tony is preceded in death by his wife, Frances DeLeon Padilla; son, Alfred Padilla; brother, Manuel Padilla and sister, Jessie Garcia. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Edward Roder; son, Ruben Padilla; son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Etta Padilla; grandchildren, Kathy, Renee, Calli, Leslie, Stephanie, Phillip, Nathanael and Jeremiah; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sister, Rosie Vigil; brother, Mike Padilla; brother and sister-in-law, Lupe and Maggie Leal as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Grandpa Tony served his country by way of the U.S. Navy from December 1943 ? February 1946. Upon returning to the states he worked and retired with 50 years vested in the Laborers Union Local 220. His hobbies were fishing with his family and friends and maintaining his abundant stock of Craftsman tools. Later, his favorite past time became visits to the Valley plaza where he would spend his afternoons getting in his daily walk as well as shopping for the perfect fishing rod which he hoped would catch the "Big One." Most important of all, Grandpa gave his heart to Jesus shortly before his passing. We would like to express our appreciation to Eddie Padilla for allowing Grandpa to accompany him in his travels. Grandpa, you will be remembered by your family and friends. We love you and God bless you, Calli, Leslie and Stephanie.
