Manuel Parente 
Sept. 16, 1933 - Oct. 1, 2005 

A Rosary service will be held for Manuel Parente at Greenlawn Southwest 
Memorial Chapel, 2739 Panama Ln., on Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. 
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. He will then be taken to Galicia, Spain where 
his body will be laid to rest with the Lord. Manuel Parente was born in Spain 
on September 16, 1933 and passed away peacefully on October 1, 2005 in 
Bakersfield, CA, where he has resided for the last 35 years. Manuel is 
survived by his loving family, wife, Herminia; daughters, Conchita and Maria; 
son, Antonio; sons-in-law, Mike Alexander and Leon Lewandowski; grandchildren, 
Michael, Cody, Madison, and Maya. He is also survived by two brothers and four 
sisters who all live in Spain. Manuel has inspired all of his survivors with 
his gentle caring spirit, sincere adoration for his family and friends, and 
love for life. Papi will be missed and will live on in the hearts of the those 
whom hes touched; but they are comforted knowing that he is no longer in pain 
and is now living in Heaven enjoying the presence of the Lord and angels. 
Papi, you are loved dearly! Rest in peace.
