Carl James Parker 
Services: Thurs., Dec. 8, 1:00 p.m. 

In loving memory of Carl James Parker, age 75, at rest on December 2, 2005. 
Carl was born on July 14, 1930 in Hugo, Oklahoma, and raised in nearby 
Checotah. He married his devoted wife, Maxine (Clark) Parker, in California 
fifty three years ago, making Bakersfield their home. He was a long time 
employee of Douglas Oil Company and Prudential Insurance Company. In addition 
to his wife Maxine, Carl is survived by two daughters, Kim Ruffolo (and son-in-
law, Mike Ruffolo), Carla Nelson (and son-in-law Ken Nelson), all of 
Bakersfield, as well as one sister, Jessie Williams; and three brothers, Joe 
Parker, Dean Parker and Rick Kennon. Carl was the proud grandfather of seven 
grandchildren. He also leaves behind numerous adoring extended family members 
and friends in California, Oklahoma and Arkansas. His love of music and 
storytelling enriched all who knew him. Funeral services will be held on 
Thursday, December 8th at 1:00 p.m., at Hillcrest Mortuary.
