Barbara F. Parmley 
Services: Thurs., Feb. 9, 11:00 a.m. 

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2006, 11:00 a.m., at 
Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park. Barbara F. Parmley, a longtime Bakersfield 
resident and homemaker was born on June 30, 1932 in Vincent, Oklahoma died at 
home February 6, 2006. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bob; her 
mother, Jewel Hart; her children, Bob, Jr. and his wife, Nona; and daughter, 
Patricia Lewis and son-in-law, Richard Lewis of Clovis, California; as well as 
5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Tom and Larry Hart; 
sister, Yvonne Elliot, and their families and many loving nieces, nephews, 
friends and neighbors. Barbara was above all a kind, gentle and generous 
spirit. She loved God and worked to build a Christian home with strong 
values.She was consistently comforting, protective and selfless, always put 
others before herself. Barbara was a 50's "Leave It To Beaver" homemaker, 
cooked, cleaned, and provided a wonderful haven for her husband and children. 
She was involved in PTA, Club Scouts, the Bunco Club, Memorial Hospital 
Volunteers, and a Women's Club. She loved collectibles, and Elvis memorabilia. 
She loved her country home and spent her last days in her favorite spot in her 
favorite chair enjoying the view through the bay window. She will always be 
loved and remembered by those hearts she touched.
