William Edward Peebles 
April 15, 1922 - January 26, 2006 
Services: Tue., Jan. 31, 1:00 p.m. 

Bill was born in Braggs, OK on April 15, 1922 and went to be with the Lord 
Jesus Christ on January 26, 2006. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded 
by family. Bill served in the United States Army during WWII with the 714th 
tank battalion in France and Germany receiving two Bronze Service Stars. After 
the war, Bill returned to OK and met his future wife Jean. Together they came 
to CA and raised 5 sons. Bill worked hard his whole life in farming and the 
oil industry. But after work, he was all play. He loved picnics and fishing 
with the kids and playing cards with his large family at night. We will miss 
his good-natured kidding, his smile, his guidance and his love. He is survived 
by his wife of 59 years, Jean and his sons, Bill and his wife Cheryl, Dave, 
John and his wife, Susan, Tom, Gary and his wife, Angie; 9 grandchildren; 9 
great-grand children;4 brothers and 4 sisters. Services will be held at 
Hillcrest Memorial Park, 9101 Kern Canyon Rd. Viewing will be Monday, January 
30th, between 3 p.m. and 7 p m. Chapel and graveside services will be held on 
Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would 
appreciate any donations made to your favorite charity in remembrance of Bill.
