Douglas Robert Perry

Douglas Robert Perry was born March 14, 1954 in Hayward, California to Antone 
Perry and Patricia LeValley-Gregg. Doug passed away unexpectedly from a heart 
attack at his home in Hinkley, CA, on December 30, 2005. He served in the 
United States Marine Corps from 1971-1975. After his discharge from the 
Marines, he attended Bakersfield College, majoring in Mechanics. He chose a 
career as a Master Mechanic, and Heavy Equipment Operator. Doug was a 
hardworking, loving and caring family man, who cherished his wife, children 
and grandchildren. Doug loved the desert, and his hobbies included working on 
his Harley Davidson, driving his 4x4 Ford truck, tending to his animals and 
working in his yard. He was loved by all who knew him, and he will be deeply 
missed. Doug is survived by his loving wife, Cindy Hodges of Hinkley; son and 
daughter-in-law, William and Jessica Perry; daughter and son-in-law, Charlene 
and Ivan Hess; grandchildren, Nathan and Khole Perry and Zane and Brooke Hess, 
all of Bakersfield, CA; his parents and his two sisters. Visitation will be 
Thursday, January 5, 2006 from 4-8 p.m., at Mead Mortuary, 36930 Irwin Road, 
in Barstow, CA 92311. Funeral services will be Friday, January 6, 2006, at 12 
noon, at Mead Mortuary. Pallbearers will be William Perry, Ivan Hess, Jeremiah 
Johnson, Bob Ehrman, Bob Hodges and Jay Hodges.
