Mavis Ardelle Staabs
Oct. 2, 1928 — Oct. 6, 2005

A graveside funeral service will be held Monday, Oct. 10, at 1 p.m. at the 
Tehachapi Public Cemetery, Westside, for Mavis Ardelle Staabs, 77, who passed 
away at her home in Tehachapi.

Mavis was born on Oct. 2, 1928, in Finly, N.D., to parents Clarence and 
Florence Peterson. She married her husband of 49 years, Marvin Emil Staabs, on 
Nov. 30, 1956 in Las Vegas, Nev. Mavis was employed by Baxter Laboratories as 
a lab technician for 28 years. She was a very talented lady who enjoyed 
painting, sewing and gardening. Mavis was a doting grandmother and loved to 
care for all of her family.

Mavis is survived by her husband, Marvin E. Staabs; son, Alan Staabs and his 
wife Virginia; grandsons, Scott and Jason, all of Tehachapi. She is also 
survived by brother, Gerald Peterson; and sister, Patricia Lazeroni and her 
husband Michael, all of Canoga Park. Wood Family Funeral Service handled the 
arrangements.
