Edie is survived by her beloved friend and husband of 49 years, Floyd (Gene) Parish; daughter, Debbie (Kathy) Parish-Russo; son, Jeff Parish and fiancée, Kim Copeland; daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Keith Clark; and son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Sherry Parish, all of Bakersfield. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Marilyn Mathews of Bakersfield; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Marium Mathews of Riverside, CA and sister and brother-in-law, Pam and Butch Madden of Idaho and sister-in-law, Joan Couch as well as 12 grandchildren, numerous great- grandchildren and her many nephews, nieces and friends. Edie was a great gift in all our lives, family and friends alike, she was a devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother. Edie enjoyed cooking, arts and crafts and T.V. and had a great love for her many pets. She will be truly missed and loved by all who knew her. The family of Edith Parish would like to greatly thank Dr. Ahmed and his staff at SJVPMG of Bakersfield, for their years of dedication in caring for her, also the I.C.U. nurses at Mercy Southwest Hospital of Bakersfield, in addition to all who have been so wonderful to her and her family throughout her time with us, with much heartfelt gratitude. Viewing will be on Monday, March 28, 2005, 4-9 p.m., at Bakersfield Family Funeral Directors.
