The Very Rev. Mark Lawrence will officiate. Burial will follow at the Blue Mountain Cemetery, in Woody, California. Jo Ann passed away suddenly in Juneau, Alaska while on a cruise with her family whom she adored. Jo Ann was born in Long Beach, California to Edwin and Rose Parry. She was married to William L. Tanner at the age of 18 and moved to Bakersfield. He preceded her in death in 1991. She was a resident of Bakersfield for over 50 years and was involved in many social and religious organizations. Jo Ann was a Chief Petty Officer Yeoman in the U.S. Naval Reserve in Bakersfield. Jo Ann later married the love of her life, Joseph F. Weringer, who also preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Tanner Welton and husband, Matthew Boone; her daughter, Julie Tanner Petrone and husband, Tom, Michael Weringer and wife, Ginny, Kathy Ranharter and husband, Herb, and Elora Weringer; her grandchidlren, Victoria and Nico Petrone, Teresa Chetwood and husband, Bill, and Brian and Jeremy Ranharter; her sister and brother-in-law, Marg Gillette and Richard Weringer. There are also numerous friends and family who are greatly saddened by her passing and will never forget her love of life and compassion for everyone.
