Ruth Margaret Poe 
Nov. 4, 1918 - May 30, 2005 

No services will be held for Ruth Margaret Poe, 86, who passed away May 30, 
2005. Mrs. Poe was born on November 4, 1918, in Vandergrift, PA and resided in 
Kern County for 85 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 
years, Lemoyne Poe in 1975, two sisters, one brother, granddaughter Kelly and 
son-in-law Kenny. She is survived by her daughters, Dianne Smith and Karen 
Christensen; and son, Michael Poe, all of Bakersfield; grandsons, Kevin and 
wife, Janine, Ricky and wife, Tami and Robert Christensen; granddaughter, 
Laura Christensen and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, 
nieces, nephews and a host of cousins. Ruth will best be remembered for her 
love of her family and sense of humor. Her family is at peace knowing that she 
accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. No visitation is scheduled.
